"The Cold War was not a silent war. It was fought in jungles, on islands, in ruined cities, and in the shadows — where nameless rebels stood between empires."
Welcome to Antistasi: Cold War Chronicles, a trilogy of campaigns tracing the arc of global conflict from the brink of nuclear war in the 1960s to the fractured twilight of the 1990s. You will take up the role of rebels, insurgents, and freedom fighters whose battles, though unseen in the history books, shaped the course of nations.

Part I – Islands of Crisis (1968)
The Cuban Missile Crisis brings the world to the edge of annihilation. On the Gulf Coast Islands near Cuba, Soviet forces have already entrenched themselves, using the islands as a staging ground for their missile deployments.
As Washington mobilises, US Marines and carrier groups move in — spearheaded by the USS Nimitz task force — to push the Soviets back. In the chaos, a local rebellion seizes the chance to rise. But survival is precarious: the rebels must resist their Soviet occupiers while avoiding being crushed under the might of the US invasion. Every skirmish risks tipping the world into nuclear fire.

Part II – Able Archer: Black Sea Uprising (1984)
The Cold War goes hot. After eight months of grinding conflict across Europe, US involvement threatens to push the Warsaw Pact to the brink of a nuclear launch.
In Bulgaria's Chernarus region, a local uprising takes hold against the Warsaw Pact occupiers. The United States deploys a task force into the Black Sea to contain Soviet influence, providing the rebels with indirect support. But the USSR, unwilling to commit its own forces directly, floods the area with weapons, money, and “advisors.”
For the rebels, this is a brutal proving ground: survival depends on navigating the razor’s edge between NATO escalation and Warsaw Pact suppression — all under the shadow of a possible nuclear exchange.

Part III – The Last Winter (1991)
The Soviet Union has collapsed. What remains of its empire is a patchwork of republics, warlords, and rebel armies. Into this vacuum step new superpowers: the United States, determined to cement its dominance, and the People’s Republic of China, seeking to shape the post-Soviet world in its own image.
On the frozen frontiers of the former USSR, a rebel movement rises to resist both foreign powers. They fight not just for independence, but for the right to define their own future amid the ruins of empire.
The Cold War is ending — but for those in the wreckage of the Soviet collapse, a new struggle begins.
(Out of character - these are three campaign stories told over three maps in three different historical contexts, affording us the opportunity to play with some more interesting factions and gear and some interesting terrains and mechanics - once again no DLC required, but likely some heavy mods - more details to follow)
